Education and Training

I received my BA from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in 2014 with majors in Psychology, Cognitive Science, and English. In addition to being a student, much of my time was spent as an athlete and co-captain of the Division I Women's Rowing team and as a research assistant in several psychology labs. After graduating, I continued my studies at Columbia University, Teachers College, earning an MA in Psychology in Education in 2016. â€‹

I moved to North Carolina to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology from UNC Chapel Hill under the mentorship of Deborah J. Jones, Ph.D. At UNC, my research focused on parent-child relationships, the role of emotion regulation and executive function, and disruptive behavior disorders and ADHD.

I completed advanced externships in ADHD and academic evaluations, autism evaluations, parent-oriented treatments for early childhood disruptive behavior, and full-model dialectical behavior therapy with adolescents.

From 2021-2022, I completed a year-long training internship at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, in pediatric and child clinical psychology. During this time I trained at the Mood Disorders Clinic, DBT-A program, ADHD and Learning Service, Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Child Development Program, among several other rotations.

I moved to New York City on to complete a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Langone Health, Child Study Center, specializing in treatment and evaluation for Autism Spectrum Disorders. The following year, I was hired as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. While at NYU, I provided evidence-based treatment and evaluations to autistic children, teens, and adults. I co-led PEERS Social Skills Groups for Teens as well as Preschoolers. I co-created a DBT-A Skills group specifically modified for autistic teens and their caregivers that taught skills related to emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, family dynamics, and interpersonal effectiveness. Outside of clinical work, I gave trainings and presentations as part of the NYC Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder to mental health providers, attorneys practicing educational law, parents of children with ASD, and young adult self-advocates with ASD.  I also co-taught a NYU undergraduate class about love, attachment, and various relationships across the lifespan as part of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies minor.

After having my first child in 2024, I moved back to the DC area with my family and transitioned to private practice. My mission is to apply the expertise I gained while training at world-class academic medical centers and combine that with the individualized and thoughtful care I am able to provide in private practice.
